A bit disappointing today to go so far for so little. Just one good run as the image below will show. Note the return angle showing it was relatively tight where the speed was set. If there wasn't a rolling chop down the bottom of the course I might have done a little better.
I tested a few fins today including a lower aspect version of the V6. I was keen to see if the longer chord length helped it to fire up a bit earlier than the standard V6, with the intention of using it to make a TM40. I think the efficiency is there but the G10 does not respond quite the same as the carbon fins. I think a carbon version of this low AR V6 would work well though. You can see from the graph above a brief period from around 37 knots upward that the fin just took off. This may be the same efficiency the carbon V6 gets from around 41 upwards.
